Join Us to the Middle of the World

Pastor Gil and his son Steve Davila were invited guests to participate in leadership training for Seminary students in Quito, Ecuador a few years ago.  During this trip, Pastor Gil was the speaker for the 20th anniversary celebration of the Church of God in Ecuador.  The congregations that gathered, represented the diverse regions of the country. Ecuador is one of the seventeen mega-diverse countries in the world, straddles the equator and is the size of Nevada.

In August 2010, Pastor Gil and CBH (Christians Broadcasting Hope) will lead an excursion/mission trip throughout this enchanted and interesting country.  Would you like to join them on this exciting trip? For information on cost and itinerary, contact Pastor Gil on our “Contact Us” page.

Mission Work in Panama

A beautiful family

Pastor Davila worked with the local pastors in Panama during September of 2009, to minister to the indigenous Indian people. Traveling by plane, canoe, and on foot, the ministry team was able to worship with the people and support the local pastor.

Fruit Bats

There are different kinds of bats; one kind is called “Fruit bats.” These bats eat fruit, so it is easy to see how they get their name. Therefore, farmers who grow fruit have to find a way to protect their fruit from fruit bats. There would be no wisdom in them putting up a sign to read “Bats that eat my fruit will be arrested” but they do use nets to prevent the fruit from being eaten. Farmers have a lesson to teach us: we learn that we need to protect our fruit.

The bible mentions the fruit of the Spirit. We have spiritual fruit to protect. Just like the bats that eat freshly ripened fruit, Satan will attack your spiritual fruit. A net of prayer and obedience will protect your fruit.

Prayer Starter

Dear God my Protector –
Thank you for Your harvest of fruit in me.
Protect me from all that would seek
to spoil the gifts of Your Spirit.
